What is castor oil?
Castor oil is essentially a vegetable oil derived from a plant native to Africa and Asia. It contains high amounts of fatty acids – including omega-6 and ricinoleic acid – and has been used as a natural remedy for specific skin issues for centuries.Castor oil is a usually colourless to pale yellow liquid with a distinct taste and odour. It’s typically used in the likes of soaps and perfumes.
Although this oil is used widely in the medicine as well, however, it is used more for industrial use. It is used for treating leather and for lubricating and waterproofing. But it is best know as a laxative.
The main use of castor oil in Aromatherapy is for the hair, i.e, to be used as a conditioner for brittle and damaged hair. Use it regularly on the EYE LASHES for long and healthy eye lashes & eye brows.
