Aromatherapy Treatments

Aromatherapy is the systematic use of volatile plant oils known as essential oils for the treatment or prevention of disease. It is a form of complementary therapy designed to treat the whole person and not just the symptom or disease by assisting the body’s natural ability to balance, regulate, heal and maintain itself. Essential oils are a precious gift from Nature, derived with only the minimal human intervention. The vegetable base oils used to dilute essential oils are also natural.

There are many different benefits of aromatherapy that help people find health and well-being. Perhaps the most important are the completely natural qualities of aromatherapy, the emphasis on preventative measures and on clients learning to take responsibility for their own health care. Essential oils that are inhaled into the lungs offer both physical and psychological benefits. Not only does the aroma of the natural essence stimulate the brain to trigger a reaction, but when inhaled into the lungs, the natural constituents can supply therapeutic benefits. . Essential oils that are applied to the skin can be absorbed in the bloodstream.

Reiki Healing

chakra - reiki

Reiki is a Japanese technique for stress reduction and relaxation that also promotes healing. It is administered by “laying on hands” and is based on the idea that an unseen “life force energy” flows through us and is what causes us to be alive. If one’s “life force energy” is low, then we are more likely to get sick or feel stress, and if it is high, we are more capable of being happy and healthy.

The word Reiki is made of two Japanese words – Rei which means “God’s Wisdom or the Higher Power” and Ki which is “life force energy”. So Reiki is actually “spiritually guided life force energy.”

One of the greatest Reiki healing health benefits is stress reduction and relaxation, which triggers the bodies natural healing abilities, and improves and maintains health. Reiki healing is a natural therapy that gently balances life energies and brings health and well being to the recipient.

This simple, non-invasive healing system works with the Higher Self of the Receiver to promote health and well being of the entire physical, emotional and psychic body. Therefore it is truly a system of attaining and promoting wholeness of Mind, Body and Spirit.

Thai Foot Massage
Thai Foot Massage is a massage of the lower legs and feet that involves hands on stretching and massage to “open” Sen (energy) Lines, along with the use of a stick to stimulate the reflex points on the feet which correspond to the internal organs of the body. Thai Foot Massage stimulates these points to promote general health and well-being.

Japanese Hand Massage
Japanese Hand Massage is a blend of both reflexology and Shiatsu. The Japanese art of Shiatsu (Japanese from Shi – meaning finger, and atsu – meaning pressure) when used on the hands includes techniques of gentle holding and pressing with palms, thumbs and fingers on the meridians. The meridians are a series of channels that run through the body in which vital life energy flows. At times of stress and trauma in our lives this vital life energy can cease to flow freely, gentle pressure applied to the meridians aims to clear the blockages and improve the quality of the life energy.

Reflexology again works with the meridians through gentle stimulation of certain reflex points in the hands, feet and ears. The hands, feet and ears are like maps of the body as each organ is represented on each of them, thus allowing each organ to be stimulated through this relaxing therapy. The right hand of the body represents the right side of the body (male side) and its organs, including the liver. The left hand is the left side of the body (female side) and its organs, including the heart reflex point and other points that stimulate the spleen.
